"OK WE UNDERSTAND THE PROBLEM NOW..NEWER NEEDLES AND A PLAYER WITH WEIGHTS...WE USE THREE DIFFERENT PLAYERS ALL HAVE FAIRLY AGED NEEDLES AND NONE HAVE WEIGHTS AS WE HAVE FOUND THERE ARE MANY RECORDS MADE IN THE 50'S AND 60'S THAT PLAY POORLY ON THE NEWER EQUIPMENT, WE HAVE SEVERAL OF THE NEWER PLAYERS THAT WE HARDLY WILL USE..WE DON'T KNOW WHY BUT WE DO KNOW THAT THE PROBLEM DOES EXIST...SOME OF THE RECORDS FROM THE 50'S - 60'S WILL WORK AT TIMES BUT THERE ARE A FEW THAT WON'T"

Do you reckon he's got a point, or am I suspicious sod?

It was going to include a really nice insert, but they have only just been printed (problem with distributors...), so if you head along to Stigmate records in Geneva or Bel Air records in Lausanne with your record, you can now pick one up gratis! Hope this is useful to some of you...

By the way the insert includes a really nice film poster repro. and liner notes by the film's director, Jacques Sandoz :)

Thumbs up from me - the mid eighties atmosphere and style was pretty well recreated I thought - though someone will no doubt pick up an error or two. It had several classic laugh out loud moments too.

Reissue of Rodriguez debut from Light In The Attic. Due out next week or so...

"Rodriguez recorded Cold Fact – his debut album – in 1969, and released it in March 1970. It’s crushingly good stuff, filled with tales of bad drugs, lost love, and itchy-footed songs about life in late ’60s inner-city America"

Looking forward to new Wolf People album. Release date around mid-October I believe.

This will be up next on Jazzman's Holy Grail series. Due out mid-October too.
